A VISION FOR OUR FUTURE

America should never have to rely on foreign nations for the fertilizer that feeds our farms. Wabash Valley Resources is taking action—repurposing existing energy infrastructure to produce a reliable, homegrown supply of clean anhydrous ammonia right here in the heart of the Corn Belt. By turning American energy resources into American-made fertilizer, we’re strengthening our food supply chain, ensuring farmers have a cost-competitive domestic supply, and keeping value and jobs here at home. This is energy innovation at work—using proven technology to extend the life of America’s energy assets, secure our agricultural future, and ensure our nation’s prosperity for generations to come.
Wabash Valley Resources is developing a industrial-scale source of fertilizer using a first-to-market, low-carbon-intensive process.

EMPOWERING AMERICA’S FARMERS

At Wabash Valley Resources, we generate low-carbon-intensive hydrogen gas—an inexpensive, clean energy—and use it to produce anhydrous ammonia fertilizer for America’s farmers. Our investment in cutting-edge technology allows us to produce ammonia fertilizer at an industrial scale, through a low-carbon intensive process, reducing costs as well as emissions.

OUR BUSINESS PLAN

Our investment in leading-edge technology and research will enable Wabash Valley Resources to displace a significant amount of the fertilizer imported into the Eastern Corn Belt, while capturing approximately 1.65 million tons of carbon dioxide each year, making this the most significant carbon sink in the U.S. The WVR facility will serve as a model for creating fertilizer in a low-carbon process.

Investing in a reliable fertilizer supply will strengthen our economy and create high-paying, high-quality jobs. We will employ hundreds of construction workers as we invest nearly $2.6 billion in a first-of-its-kind facility. When fully operational, WVR will employ 125 best-in-class team members.

When fully operational, Wabash Valley Resources will capture and store approximately 1.65 million tons of CO2 each year.
